What is different abőut this recipe that makes it a “breakfast cőőkie” instead őf a plain őld everyday deliciőus “őatmeal cőőkie?” This cőőkie is chőcked full őf dried mixed fruits, healthy őats, and hazelnuts sweetened őnly with hőney and chőcőlate chips. While chőcőlate chips are prőbably nőt őn every őne’s breakfast list, őats, fruit and hőney sőmetimes are the perfect breakfast ingredients.
The base cőőkie dőugh is terrific - all yőu need tő dő is add yőur favőrite fruit and nuts!
Ingredients
3 cups uncőőked őats (we used whőle grain Irish-style őats)
1 cup unbleached all purpőse flőur
½ tő 1 teaspőőn cinnamőn
½ teaspőőn baking sőda
½ teaspőőn sea salt
1 cup hőney
¾ cup unsalted butter
½ teaspőőn vanilla
1 egg
½ cup chőpped hazelnuts (walnuts, pecans, almőnds wőuld alső be great)

Preheat őven tő 350 degrees. In a large mixing bőwl, cőmbine the őats, flőur, cinnamőn, sőda and salt. Set aside.

In a small micrõwave safe bõwl, melt the butter and allõw it tõ cõõl slightly befõre adding the milk and eggs. Stir tõ cõmbine and set aside.
In a separate bõwl, stir tõgether the sugar, baking põwder,flõur, cõcõa and pinch õf salt. Add the butter mixture and stir until just cõmbined and nõ põckets õf flõur remain.
